Either you check in ahead of time online or go directly to the self-service machines, and everything is a breeze. My family and I prefer online check-in in most cases, allowing us to avoid lines and go directly to baggage drop. But even when we’ve needed to check in at the counter, the Delta staff has always been friendly and efficient. They go out of their way to assist passengers, which is a huge help when traveling with kids or handling special requests.
