I recently had the chance to try  Finnair bid for Upgrade system on a long-haul flight from Helsinki to New York, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.A few days prior to the journey, I received an email giving me the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to business class, even though I had originally reserved an economy seat.
