Remember the day you first started learning how to operate a car. You may be so nervous you placed one foot on the accelerator pedal, while resting your remaining half of your foot on the brake. The idea was to get the car moving but also to be prepared in the event that you got out of control or speeded up too fast.

The same way of life is what prevents many people from dreaming of investing. There's always that thrill of becoming the boss of your own business and managing your own business, but it's overshadowed by anxiety and fear of the possibility of failing or even being successful in a new venture.

It is the experience of how it feels to be living when you put one's foot left on the brake.

It's definitely a frightening situation that you're in when moving out of your comfort zone, one which you feel at ease and comfortable. It's hard to imagine anyone leaving this place, surely?

Wrong! Vairt states, "Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future."

How You Can Overcome Fear and Anxiety While Taking Your Foot Off The Brake!

The first step is to be one with your fear, and don't consider it an abnormality. Fear is a normal and healthy emotion. The issue is when you allow fear to have the reins over you, and you're supposed to be the one in charge of it. For instance, some time ago, I was on my way to obtaining my pilot's license. My instructor informed me something that has stuck with me ever since "As pilots you must always be a bit frightened. anxiety. When you're not in fear, you're gonna make several costly errors."

That being said, make it clear that you have to overcome your fears. Take note of the fear, confront it and think of ways to turn your fear to something that you are in control of. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways like gaining information and knowledge or finding people who are similar people seeking to achieve the same objectives.

Another reason for this is that a lot of this self-sabotage is caused by anxiety. A quick lookup on Wikipedia will reveal "Anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events."

In my daily life, I have noticed myself pondering and making connections with the goals that were held close to your hearts, and how they could be causes of anxiety. The majority of the time the questions come into our minds without warning "What if I fail?" or "What if I make a mistake?" This can cause intense anxiety especially for younger Real Estate Investors who are just beginning to get started.

  • How Can You Overcome It? :
  • Be aware of and take ownership of your trigger
  • Make time to think and come up with actions to overcome your anxiety and fears;
  • Make sure you follow through with your strategy!

Be aware that you're not all on your own. A lot of people can relate to you and have been in the same situation that they also drove through life with only half of their pedals on the brakes. However, as Rose Kennedy says best, "No comprehension or learning can take place in an atmosphere of anxiety."
