Google Chrome has a secret dinosaur game that users may play. When dinosaurs roamed the Earth millions of years ago, there was no Wi-Fi, and dinosaur game, sometimes known as Chrome Dino, does not need it either.
When Chrome users lose internet connection, a T-Rex symbol appears above the statement, "No internet."
To begin the game, players just press the spacebar, which causes the dinosaur to sprint and jump over any cactuses that come into its path.
If you're playing on your mobile device, just touch your thumb.
Jumping over cactuses awards points, but failing to clear the leap results in the dreaded "Game Over."
Google introduced the game in 2014, and according to an interview with the game's creator Sebastian Gabriel in 2018, the idea was inspired by the reality that losing access to the internet is like returning to primitive times, as reported by Game Rant.
During development, the game was given the code name "Project Bolan," in honor of Marc Bolan, the vocalist of the band T-Rex.
