Fans are all set to witness back-to-back releases of big movies in December 2023. India's box office is expected to get a huge footfall of audience starting from December 1 as two massive movies Animal and Sam Bahar are all set to be released. Animal vs Sam Bahadur is happening as both of them are releasing on the same date. While it has been witnessed that makers skip faceoffs between movies, this time, both Animal and Sa Bahadur's makers remained adamant about releasing the movie on the same date seeing Shah Rukh Khan's movie Dunki will also be released in December 2023. Now, the question arises which movie will perform better? While Sam Bahadur is based on a true story, Animal is a fictional story but Ranbir Kapoor's dark acting has amped up expectations of fans. Below is which movie is expected to do better based on advance bookings- 

Animal vs Sam Bahadur advance booking 

As per reports, fans are much more excited to watch Animal. Courtesy of Ranbir Kapoor's acting and Bobby Deol's presence, Animal advance booking Day 1 has minted  Rs 17.1 crore. Reportedly, more than 5.75 lakh tickets have been sold for over 10,000 shows. Fans are still buying tickets for Animal ahead of its release, therefore the numbers are expected to increase. 

Talking about Vicky Kaushal starrer biopic drama, Sam Bahadur has reportedly made about Rs 1.81 crore and about 57,888 tickets have been sold for the first day. This movie will be shown on over 3,000 screens. 

It is pertinent to mention here that Animal is not only releasing in Hindi but also in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. However, reports suggest that South movie fans did not seem very excited about it. In Telugu, fans spent about Rs 2.44 crore on tickets. In Tamil, the sales reportedly were around Rs 7.17 lakh, and in Kannada and Malayalam, even fewer tickets were sold.
